The CLXTrainer ControlLogix Training Software includes an introduction to ControlLogix with an overview of RSLogix 5000. This computer-based training software is an ideal tool for learning the fundamentals of RSLogix 5000 programmable logic control. The look, feel, and operation of our simulations so closely mimic Allen Bradley's latest software offering. Some not being properly trained yet may believe a PAC like Rockwell's Controllogix is a PLC and they can 'figure it out'. But after viewing the RSLogix 5000 training screenshots and details below, one can see there is a whole lot more to learn when advancing from PLCs to PACs. For example, one of the most challenging topics for those transitioning from the PLC to working with a PAC is the replacement of memory addresses with "Tags". So this course covers this topic with interactive step-by-step simulated exercises including creating a new tag with an RSLogix 5000 simulation. Another example is the industrial computer (PAC) has a scan cycle interrupt "task" the user has to understand and manage. Yet another example of the difference from a PLC is in a PAC the analog scaling can be done in the I/O module configuration instead of using ladder logic SCL instructions. Etc. etc.
This PLC training certificate course (PLC Trainer) typically takes about 30 hours to earn a certificate. If an instructor goes through the Lab manual exercises with a class, it could extend class hours. It is a software course to be installed on a Windows computer, so it never expires, learners can use it on their own schedule and use it as a refresher.
